The Ministry of National Defense (MApN) is the central institution of public administration in Romania responsible for ensuring national defense. MApN has the mission to protect the territorial integrity and independence of Romania, while also contributing to regional and global security.
The special operations forces represent the specialized component of the Ministry of National Defense, equipped with dedicated land, naval, and air structures, engaged in conducting special reconnaissance missions, direct actions, military assistance, and unconventional operations, as well as complementary missions within the Romanian state or abroad, in accordance with the law, independently or together with the special forces of the coalitions and alliances of which Romania is a part.

Dear friends, the representatives of the Ministry of National Defense are waiting for you on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at the “Iosif Șilimon” Territorial Aeroclub in Ghimbav, Brașov. Demonstrative parachute jumps and unique exhibitions of military equipment and weapons will be organized for you. You’ll have the opportunity to meet the team members and talk about what an ordinary workday looks like for us. We can’t wait to meet you!
Event schedule:
- 16:00-16:30 – Parachute jump demonstration (weather permitting)
- 17:00-18:00 – Open discussions about the secrets of parachuting, how you can get certified, and what this discipline entails.
- 18:00-19:00 – Presentation of special forces equipment and weaponry. Discussions and curiosities about the technical-tactical details. What it means to be a commando fighter.
- 19:00-20:00 – Information briefing on the institution’s educational offer – details on the requirements and criteria for joining the Ministry of National Defense.
- 20:00-21:00 – Snack time
